Longface Emperor.

Identification:
Brown body with scattered irregular dark blotches.
Often with three dark streaks that radiate from the eye.
Spines on first half of the dorsal and anal fins.
Long sloped head with large eyes and an orange edge around the mouth.

Typical Location:
Over sandy areas near coral reefs.

Fishing Methods:
Bottom fishing with dead fish, squid or crab.

Fighting Characteristics:
A very fast strike followed by several fast runs for shelter.

Fishing Khao Lak's Comment:
Attacks the bait very aggressivley,
fights well and is an excellent table fish.
