Identification:
Silvery pink, mottled red or solid red in colour.
Oversize pelvic fin and large eyes.
Typical Location:
Around or under ledges at seaward and deep reefs.
Fishing Methods:
Fishing near the bottom at night with live
and dead schrimp, crab or small fish.
Fighting Characteristics:
Fights like a small snapper.
Short but fast runs with lots of direction changes.
