Identification:
Grey body with a dark or black back and upper part of the head.
Gold or silver bars on the dorsum and a row
of irregular black spots above the anal fin.
Typical Location:
Around bottom structures in rivers, lakes, canals and ponds
with slow flowing or standing waters.
Fishing Methods:
Live bait fishing with fish or prawns.
Casting small minnows, spinners and flies.
Fighting Characteristics:
A master in finding shelter amongst submerged structures.
