Twisted Dropper Loop
Step by Step.
Twist the line so a loop spirals out roughly at right angles. |

Having made a dozen or so twists, twice that number should you be counting the half twists, pull the twisted spiral apart so that: *One, the loop is reduced to the size where it can be threaded through the eye of a hook. *Two, the twists are compressed more tightly. |
Allow the loop to spiral back into place again. |

Isolate the spiral by crossing the line from each side to form a loop. Your index finger goes between loop and tag. |
Twist the cross–over alternately with each hand, inserting and withdrawing the index finger of each hand as each half twist is made. |

Having completed four complete twists (eight half twists), pass the spiral through at the cross–over where you were twisting with your fingers. |
Close the knot with a firm pressure. |

Thread the eye of the hook with the twisted loop. |
Thread the point of the hook through the twisted loop. |

The hook is presented far enough away from the line so it is most unlikely to tangle. |
