Thread the eye of the hook and wrap the line around the shank, taking care you wrap away from the end of the wire which has been rolled to form the eye of the hook: This is most important. |

Begin wrapping back up the shank of the hook with the tag. | |
Continue almost back to the eye of the hook so that you have a binding some 1.5 cm long. Then, simply tuck the tag under the last wrap as shown. |

Slide the wraps up to the eye of the hook, pulling on the line to tighten the snell. |
