Pitzen Knot
Step by Step.
Thread the eye of the hook and loop the tag back under the standing part. |
|
Wind the tag back around the loop so another smaller loop is formed at the beginning of the knot.
Make three wraps in all then pass the tag back through the small loop. |
|
With gentle pressure on the tag, close the knot around the standing part of the line but not too tight. If you tighten it right up now, the strength of the final knot will be reduced quite a bit.
Slide the knot down the standing part, onto the eye of the hook and tighten, this time with firm pressure until you feel the knot click into place. Trim the tag. |
